What kind of person do you want to be?

I find myself asking this every day. I want to be an interesting person. With an interesting story. And interesting ideas. I want to be kind. I want to be the kind of person who is remembered when they are gone. I want to be original. Completely and wholly original. I want to be altruistic. I want to be a mother. I want to be a teacher. I want to be childlike. I want to be an adventurer. I want to be innovative. At the end of the day I find that my biggest gripe is that I feel completely inadequate and unaccomplished. I find that when I fall short on my endeavors, strengthen what is within my capabilities. I find myself asking instead, what kind of love do you want? I want a love that is completely pure and a love that people set an example after. I want a love that people love. I want a love that is easy, a love that is effortless. I want a love that grows, a love that learns. How do people love? When I love, I give. There is something so fulfilling that by giving yourself, you know that within that person, you put yourself out into the world. You could be everywhere, all at once. There are pieces of me everywhere, I think. When I love, I love forever.

Highlights from christmas vacation is Vancouver/ Victoria: The beautiful streets of Vancouver. Suspension bridge in the land of the cedar trees. First time encountering wild peacocks. Finding fallen roses floating in the ocean in Victoria. Ones man trash, is another mans treasure. New years eve at an old club. Besides Brent, my brother, and myself, my parents were the youngest people there. Our view from our room. Floor to ceiling windows of the city, on the 40th floor. The beaches. The wildlife. The fog. Tim Hortons donuts, can't wait to be a Canadian so I can have unlimited Timmy Ho's. The PEOPLE. I think Brent and I fall in love each adventure we go on.

Engaged.

It is my 3 week anniversary of being engaged. The whole experience has been surreal. I was never the girl who imagined they would get married at such a young age. In reality, I am not so terribly young. I found the person who makes me happy, and someone to share my adventures with. No need to wait. Here is how the engagement story goes....

It was December 23rd, and we were visiting my parents in St. George. Brent wanted to go on a hike and my dad recommended that we do the hike up on castle rock. We brought my pup Izzi and we were having a grand ol' time, it was a beautiful day. Brent said he needed to go to the bathroom and ran off. He comes back and says "I have a really cool cave to show you." I follow him and I see a little cave full of candles and cheese and crackers. I knew what was going to happen next. I started to tear up as he grabbed my hands. I was so nervous I can hardly remember what he said to me. Next thing I know he is on his knee, and the ring on my finger. I felt an overwhelming calm and happiness. I was absolutely glowing the rest of the day.
